As a customer focused organisation representing Mitsubishi in Oman, General Automotive Company has strived to reiterate their commitment to customers in the market and strengthen business relationships built over the past 40 years of Mitsubishi in Oman. In line with the same, the official dealers of the Japanese automobile giant organised a special gathering for fleet customers at the InterContinental Muscat.

The event saw a presence of over 100 guests including fleet customers who already own Mitsubishi vehicles, in addition to potential customers across various segments in Oman. GAC also organised a raffle draw for the attendees, and two of the clients won brand new Samsung LED televisions.

Mark Tomlinson, General Manager of General Automotive Company said at the event: “At GAC, the motto we abide by is - ‘A Drive for Life’. We believe that this encapsulates the enduring relationships people have with their vehicles, combining the Mitsubishi brands core values of performance, quality, capability and reliability with ‘driving’ being at the heart of everything we do. It is thus, essential that we regularly take time to connect with our key customers and build on the established relationships which are at the very heart of our business.”

On behalf of General Automotive Company, Steven Tomkinson - National Sales Manager also commented, “It is through meetings such as these that we have been able to create an ideal forum to share groundbreaking achievements, while at the same time allows us to gain a thorough understanding of the expectations of our customers.”

Steven also expanded on the new range of vehicles that Mitsubishi plans to bring to the Oman market in the coming year and mentioned, “Keeping true to this winning spirit, 2013 has been a great year for us with sales numbers exceeding targets – and in 2014 we intend to take a step forward, taking everyone with us in our stride to achieve new heights.”

In 2013, GAC has concentrated on furthering team capabilities and understanding, by investing in a number of initiatives focused on people. These include bespoke upper and mid management level training, sales and product training courses, customer handling skills, language courses and a successful Omani Apprentice Technician program, aimed at training and developing local talent in this essential role within the company.

General Automotive Company strongly advocates on building robust business relationships and alliances with its growing portfolio of customers as the organisation continues to go from strength to strength in Oman.
