Gac holdsin-house training for new Mitsubishi Mirage & Attrage

General Automotive Company, the official distributors of Mitsubishi vehicles in Oman, recently completed anin-house sales training program for their staff for its two newly launched vehicles – the Mitsubishi Mirage and Mitsubishi Attrage. The training program, held at the Hotel Al Madinah Holiday, offered all Mitsubishi sales staff with a unique first-hand experience of the brand’s all-new class-leading sub-compact cars,enhancingtheir product knowledge and illustrating the competitive advantage of the highly fuel efficient, affordable and compactness.

Commenting on the training program, Mark Tomlinson, General Manager of General Automotive Company said, “With the launch of every new product we have to ensure that our sales staff have the knowledge and skills required to assist our customers in making their decisions and competently answer their every query, thereby ensuring that they are well informed. The sales training program was specifically designed for the dealership sales staff to develop superior product knowledge on the two all new modelsalong with augmenting their sales skills strategies through a range of comprehensive and consultative workshops. The training program was conducted by Mr. Steven Tomkinson, the National Sales Manager at GAC.

The program was divided into two batches over two days and included a product-driven induction and an extensive drive program, along with a hands-on comprehensive sales training session. The main focus of the training was to give each salesperson the opportunity to experience both vehicles first-hand and to help them fully understand the performance capabilities and features offered by the Mirage and Attrage.

The all-new Attrage offers a more mature saloon body style, with larger exterior dimensions than the compact Mirage. However, it still retains the maneuverability of the Mirage, offering a class-leading turning circle of just 4.8 metres. Also, like the Mirage, it features a short nose for a better forward field of view and a dynamic character line which kicks up towards the rear.

Both vehicles are powered by a 1.2-litre inline-three cylinder gasoline engine, with MIVEC variable valve timing, the highly efficient engine boasts a healthy output of 77bhp and 100Nm. The engine is mated to either a five-speed manual or CVT gearbox and features the exclusive Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control system (MIVEC) technology that adjusts the timing of the intake camshaft for optimal performance right across the rev range. Engineered with driving efficiency in mind, this 1.2 liter engine excellently balances both performance and fuel economy enabling both vehicles to achieve a fuel efficiency rating of up to 21 km/l, making them some of the most fuel efficient ‘eco-cars’ available in Oman.
