Mitsubishi Brings Your Smile Back with The Eclipse Cross

The Eclipse Cross, the sporty CUV that combines the go-anywhere SUV versatility with sharp coupe looks and a compact design, offers a perfect fusion of signature Mitsubishi styling and performance. This versatile CUV is now available from General Automotive Company (GAC), the official distributor of Mitsubishi vehicles in Oman, at reduced prices starting from as low as OMR 8,995 or instalments of only OMR 110 per month. The price also includes six years unlimited mileage warranty and roadside assistance.

Commenting on the Eclipse Cross, Manoj Ranade, General Manager of GAC, said, “Not only is the Eclipse Cross a stylish fusion of a sharp coupe and a compact CUV design, but it’s also got the brisk driving performance and off-road ability to match its looks. In fact, the sporty CUV has already amassed thousands of admirers and fans from across the country.”

The Eclipse Cross is a nimble-yet-capable CUV that cuts a striking figure on the road with signature Mitsubishi styling, technology and driving confidence. It stands out from the crowd thanks to its distinctive coupe-like form, wedge-shaped profile, strong beltline and sculpted character line. Other stimulating design cues include Mitsubishi's signature DYNAMIC SHIELD design upfront, a steeply forward-raked rear windowdistinguished by a horizontal division across it, angular rear gate, short overhang, as well as beefy fenders that project athleticism.

Inside, the cockpit-style interior of the Eclipse Cross wraps around the driver for a sporty, engaging feel. Everywhere the driver looks and everything they touch is of the utmost quality with no compromise on the detail. High-grade interior materials are accented by piano-black surfaces and luminous silver accents, which are now standard on all trim levels.Eclipse Cross boasts an available high-resolution 7-inch touchscreen monitor, to control the audio system and other functions. Eclipse Cross also offers a full-colour Head-Up Display (HUD) that provides the driver with real-time vehicle information. The system consists of a full colour LCD display that is mounted just beyond the steering wheel and close to the driver's line of sight, allowing easier driving by minimising the changes in focal distance and direction.

In the back, the Eclipse Cross features spacious and comfortable rear seats that also offer multiple seating adjustments to accommodate passengers and/or cargo. The rear seat back angle has nine reclining positions and can slide fore and aft nearly eight inches to strike the ideal balance between passenger space and cargo capacity. The Eclipse Cross also features an optional panoramic dual-pane sunroof with a large power front glass panel with tilt and slide capability, which can openup to 17 inches.

Under the hood, the Eclipse Cross comes standard with a 1.5-liter direct-injection turbo engine that offers a compelling combination of drivability, performance, and efficiency. This turbo technology provides both strong torque and better fuel efficiency with 152 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 184 lb.-ft. of torque at 2,000 rpm.

Together with its powerful sporty powerplant, the Eclipse Cross is available with Mitsubishi's proprietary, advanced S-AWC (Super All-Wheel Control) system to ensure safety and driving pleasure. The system enhances both straight-line stability and cornering performance by precisely controlling the torque supplied to each of the four wheels. The S-AWC also uses an advanced sensor monitoring system to detect driver intent and vehicle attitude. In doing so the S-AWC improves traction in all weather and road conditions, including snow, rain, ice, gravel, and dust while also improving straight line stability and cornering performance.

Beyond the S-AWC, the Eclipse Cross also sports other advanced safety technologies to support safer, more confident driving. From intelligent sensors that track the vehicle's surroundings and warn of danger to active driving assistance and solid passive protection, the Eclipse Cross delivers a complete portfolio of advanced safety features including seven SRS airbags, Blind Spot Warning (BSW) with Lane Change Assist (LCA), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM), and more.

“With its unique design, powerful engine, and advanced technologies the Eclipse Cross builds on the heritage of Mitsubishi's sporty past, blending sharp coupe looks and dynamic crossover utility vehicle mobility into one package,” added Manoj.
