Mitsubishi Successfully Completes Second Round of Team Pajero Desert Adventure

General Automotive Company (GAC), the official distributors for Mitsubishi in Oman, have successfully completed the second trip of the annual desert excursion, the ‘Team Pajero Desert Adventure’. Taking place on December 14 and 15, the trip saw 300 people in 54 Mitsubishi Pajeros drive into the desert for a weekend of fun and adventure. Each of these trips provide Pajero owners and enthusiasts with a taste of a true desert adventure in the vehicle best suited to handle the challenge – the Mitsubishi Pajero.

Driven by popular demand, the Team Pajero Desert Adventure has been split into four separate events for this year; with the first trip launched in November and the second conducted recently. The third trip is scheduled for January 11 and 12, 2019, with the 16th season ending with the fourth trip on February 15 and 16, 2019. All Mitsubishi Pajero owners in the Sultanate are invited to register for the upcoming trips at the Mitsubishi Showroom in Athaiba.

Commenting on the success of the adventure, Manoj Ranade, the GM of General Automotive Company said, “For years, GAC has been organising its desert excursion known as the Team Pajero Desert Adventure, an event that is highly sought after by our Pajero customers. These exciting adventures also enhance the customers’ experience in driving in the desert and overcoming challenges that comes with it. This is the primary reason why GAC has always been keen to organise these trips regularly, which has now become an integral part of Pajero ownership in Oman. The number of available slots are usually filled up rapidly, especially given that it provides our customers with a deeper insight into the true off-road potential of their vehicles. More importantly however, these trips help strengthen the relationship we have with our customers, allowing us to gain a better understanding of their vehicle ownership experience.”

The event which began at the Mitsubishi Showroom on the morning of December 14, saw 300 Mitsubishi customers in 54 Pajeros, set off towards the desert. They were guided by 16 GAC staff members as they headed to the Al Raha Camp at the Wahiba Sands.

Once at the Al Raha Camp, the convoy of Pajero vehicles were escorted by Mitsubishi Oman experts. The drivers were then taken on a dune bashing session, after which the group is taken atop a dune overlooking the camp to witness the stunning sunset. Once back at the camp a large number of activities and entertainment was prepared for the families to enjoy. The following morning, camel riding sessions and dune bikes were provided for the customers to use at their discretion. The convoy left the camp and returned to the Azaiba showroom shortly after.

“We are extremely happy with the 16th season of Team Pajero Desert Adventure and are especially looking forward to the two more trips planned in January and February respectively. However, with the limited spaces running out quick, we encourage any Pajero owner still wishing to take part to register with us at the earliest,” added Manoj.
