The Mitsubishi L200

MMC has been producing pickups for 36 years since 1978, selling over four million units worldwide. The all-new L200, which marks the fifth-generation of the model, is its first full redesign in nine years and is exported to some 150 countries worldwide.

The all-new L200 was been developed to be the ‘Ultimate Sport Utility Truck,’ combining the comfortable interior of a passenger car with the functionality and reliability of a pickup. Muscular, sleek and dynamic styling which evokes the form of a well-honed athlete, the all-new L200 also provides generous interior space, ample payload capacity, and class-leading handling. Its design is streamlined based on advanced computer simulation to slip through the wind with class-leading drag coefficient values that lowers noise and raises fuel efficiency while enhancing both acceleration and handling stability.

The all-new L200 achieves high levels of safety performance through its durable and sturdy chassis and frame structures along with MMC's own RISE impact safety body. It also delivers quietness and ride comfort on a par with a passenger car thanks to the optimisation of the suspension, the strategic placement of sound insulation, absorption and vibration damping materials. It also built strong to handle brutal work conditions and thanks to its reinforced cargo bed offering generous storage space, it makes for a perfect pick-up for demanding work scenarios.

The all-new L200 accommodates the varying needs and requirements of consumers and is available as a Double or Single Cab and with three engine choices. A new L200 delivers performance amongst the best in its class thanks to improved versions of the well-proven 2.5-litre turbo diesel and 2.4-litre petrol engine used to power its predecessor. The 2.5-litre turbo diesel is available as a 2WD variant, producing 110PS at 4,000rpm and 20.4Kgm of torque at 2,000rpm, or as a 4WD variant, produces 136PS at 4,000rpm and 33.1Kgm of torque at 2,000rpm. 2.4-liter petrol engine is available in both 2WD and 4WD variants and produces a class leading 132PS at 5250rpm and 20.6Kgm of torque at 4000rpm.

Transferring this power to the road is a smooth-shifting 5-speed manual transmission. Its solid stick shift provides the ultimate in vehicle control that both inspires confidence and ensures maximum performance regardless of work load.

The Mitsubishi Outlander

Unveiled for the first time at the 2015 New York International Auto Show, the new 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander seven seat passenger crossover is the first Mitsubishi production vehicle to showcase the brand's new design language, featuring Mitsubishi's new front design concept, labelled ‘Dynamic Shield’.

Aside from the redesigned front fascia the revised exterior design features of the 2016 Outlander include, new front fenders, halogen headlights, LED position lights, LED Daytime running lights, lower door sections, 18-in. alloy wheels, rear fascia and LED taillights. The reconfigured interior includes a redesigned steering wheel, seating surfaces, accent trim, rear folding seat and headliner.

The new Outlander is not just a cosmetic ‘refreshing,’ however, and features an unprecedented number of important engineering and design improvements that increase the level of refinement and overall driving experience. This includes several improvements made to the chassis of the 2016 Outlander such as increased body and suspension structural rigidity, redesigned suspension and an Electric Power Steering, new dynamic front suspension and rear differential dampers. Additionally, the new generation continuously-variable transmission, where equipped, offers improved acceleration, performance, shift feel and torque delivery. It even features a noise-isolating windshield and rear door glass, providing more sound insulation throughout the vehicle, together with improved weather stripping and engine compartment trim.

Mitsubishi's advanced safety systems also adorn the new Outlander and includes 4-wheel ABS with EBD, a Brake Override system, Theft Protection system, Driver and Passenger SRS front airbags, Electronic tailgate opener, High mount stop lamp on the tailgate, and a vacuum booster for the Brake system.

The new Outlander model is available with two different engines; the Outlander GLX comes with 2.4 L MIVEC, 4-cylinder engine producing 167PS at 6,000rpm and 22.6kgm of torque at 4,100rpm, while the 7-seat Outlander GLS features a 3.0L MIVC 6-cylinder engine producing 230PS at 6,250rpm and 29.8kgm of torque at 3,750rpm. Both engines provide the benefits of the high power output, low fuel consumption, and low exhaust emissions.

Together with its eye-catching new design aesthetic inside and out and over 100 engineering and design improvements, the new 2016 Outlander literally looks, drives and feels like an entirely new vehicle, making it an even more compelling value than before and reiterates its position as a segment-leading vehicle that appeals to buyers that desire value, quality and safety.
