Mitsubishi Oman Organises Fun-Filled Qaranqasho Event

Marking the 14^th day of the holy month of Ramadan, General Automotive Company (GAC), the official distributors of Mitsubishi vehicles in Oman, organised a fun Qaranqasho event at their showroom in Athaibah on July 01, 2015. Attended by more than 150 people including children, customers and staff members, the revelry was broadcasted live by Hala FM and Hi! FM.

Right in the middle of Ramadan, Qaranqasho is celebrated annually to mark the middle of the blessed month. In Oman, this spirited traditional occasion is marked by children celebrate going around their local villages singing special tunes for sweets. Keeping the tradition alive, to keep the children amused, Mitsubishi organised for a DJ competition, face painting and henna section, a candy floss station, a dedicated playing area, bouncing castle in addition to gifts and branded balloons which the kids could take home.

Rajesh Sharma, National Marketing Manager of GAC commented on the success of the event. He said, “Qaranqasho is celebrated to mark the middle of Ramadan and we are aware that it is a very important and nostalgic part of the childhood of people in the Sultanate. At GAC, we attempted to keep the tradition alive by marking the occasion with children and their families to have an enjoyable day and were pleased to see the fantastic turnout!”

The event witnessed attendance from a large number of staff along with their families for an evening of entertainment, games, and prizes including cartoon characters to entertain the children.

To make Ramadan even more joyous for their customers and fans in the Sultanate, Mitsubishi Oman announced their exciting Ramadan offer earlier in June.
