Super Select 4WD-II System

Robust handling in all conditions

The L200 can take on all kinds of terrain, thanks to Super Select 4WD-II. This state-of-the-art four wheel drive system controls the power and braking to each wheel for maximum stability and traction whatever the surface. A selector dial on the centre console allows you to switch between settings. Choose 2H for normal roads or 4H for rough roads - you can change settings at speeds up to 100km/h. When the going gets tough, or you're going off-road, stop the vehicle and change to either 4HLc or 4Llc settings.

Choose this one for a smooth, economic performance and fuel efficiency.

4WD FULL TIME

This setting is for more stability when towing or added traction in wet slippery conditions.

Large Front Disc Brakes

Improved braking efficiency

Models with 18-inch wheels are equipped with enlarged front ventilated disc brakes. These provide greater braking efficiency. It's just one more way the new model L200 is ready for whatever life throws at it.

Changes gear more like a car

6-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION

If you choose the manual transmission, you get six speeds for total control in all driving conditions. The smooth gear change combined with light clutch control makes for a nice easy operation that feels more like a car than a pickup.

Note: in models with SS4-II, OFF ROAD MODE is only available in the 4HLc and 4LLc settings. *In models with SS4-II, the ROCK setting is only available in the 4HLc and 4LLc settings.

Note: on vehicles with M/T, set the drive mode selector to “4LLc” position. When using the Hill Descent Control while driving except in “4LLc” position, the engine may stall. As a result, it could lose the brake effectiveness or lock the tyres, which may lead to a serious accident.
