Colt Galant

The Colt Galant made its debut in December 1969. It was powered by 1.3L and 1.5L engines - Mitsubishi's first OHC power units. It was developed during a time of huge motorway growth, so it was designed to be wider, quieter and more luxurious. The cabin was spacious with lots of head and legroom, and the double-sprung front seats were specially designed to reduce fatigue in order to make long distance driving even easier.

The Colt Galant did very well in domestic and international competitions, including an overall victory for the 16L-GS in the 7th Southern Rally in 1972.
