Mirage Safety

For a small hatchback we're very big on Safety. The Mirage incorporates intelligent safety systems such as Forward Collision Mitigation and Automatic High Beam for greater protection on every journey.

HILL START ASSIST (HSA)

Easy starts on hills

Hill Start Assist makes starting on a steep slope really easy. It keeps the brake on for up to two seconds until you press the accelerator. So you needn't worry about rolling back again.

PRETENSIONERS

Automatically tightening seatbelts

Pretensioners on the front seatbelts automatically tighten the belts in the event of a collision to help restrain the driver and front passenger.

RISE (REINFORCED IMPACT SAFETY EVOLUTION) BODY

A car with built-in armour

The Mirage is built using our advanced Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution body (RISE). This high strength steel shell absorbs and disperses crash energy from all directions while also significantly reducing the vehicle's overall body weight.

SRS AIRBAG SYSTEM

Airbags for driver and passengers

The Mirage is equipped with SRS airbag system. The system includes driver and passenger airbags to ensure utmost safety on the go.

ACTIVE STABILITY CONTROL (ASC)

Automatic braking in slippery situations

On hazardous surfaces, or when the vehicle slips due to a sudden manoeuvre, the brakes automatically come on. To stabilize the vehicle further, engine output is simultaneously reduced.

Stay in control when braking

ABS WITH EBD

The Mirage has a four-wheel anti-lock braking system (ABS). This prevents the wheels from locking-up during emergency braking and helps the driver stay in control even on slippery roads. Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), an additional feature, distributes the braking force to all four wheels to enhance braking performance.

Stay informed about your tyre pressure

TYRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS)

It's very important to drive with the tyres at the right pressure. With TPMS, sensors in the system measure tyre pressure and temperature and sends the data to a control unit. If tyre pressure is found to be under, a warning light comes on the dash display.

If you drift across a lane the car will tell you

LANE DEPARTURE WARNING (LDW)

If your vehicle moves from its lane and you're not using your indicators, this safety feature will assume you've drifted unintentionally. It will immediately sound an audible beep and display a warning light on the dash.
