Driving the Pajero

This is the fourth generation Pajero since its launch in 1982. It’s ability to tackle all sorts of challenges is legendary. This version is still a Pajero at heart, but it also has the advantages of pioneering technology to enhance the driving pleasure both on road and off.

AWC (ALL WHEEL CONTROL)

Precise traction and better control

All Wheel Control is more than just a technology, it’s a philosophy. Our aim is to create innovative systems that give better performance and greater control. AWC does this by delivering precise traction, power and slip control to each wheel, even in extreme conditions.

SUPER SELECT 4WD II

A 4WD system to take you anywhere

The Pajero can take on all kinds of terrain, thanks to Super Select 4WD-II. This state-of-the-art four wheel drive system controls the power and braking to each wheel for maximum stability and traction. You can shift between the various modes, depending on the conditions, at speeds of up to 100 km/h.

ADVANCED ENGINEERING

Two engines to choose from

The Pajero is available with 2 engines: a 3.5L and a 3.8 L. Each one delivers all the power you need to roam the city streets or explore the great outdoors.

AUTO TRANSMISSION WITH SPORTS MODE

All the excitement of a manual shift

If you choose the Automatic Transmission model, it comes with Sports Mode. This delivers all the excitement of a manual shift, while still providing the convenience of an automatic.

RALLY-PROVEN TECHNIQUES

Our experience creates better driving

We’ve been involved in motor sports for a long time. It was the Mitsubishi Lancer in 1973 that cemented our reputation, scoring a series of rally firsts. We’ve continued to pioneer and develop those technologies and today, the Pajero has rally-proven systems on board that make it safer and more pleasurable to drive.

ADVANCED SUSPENSION

Better handling in all conditions

The Pajero’s rally-proven all-wheel independent suspension gives you solid, predictable handling even in the most unpredictable road conditions. The front double-wishbone and rear multi-link suspensions use coil springs to provide a quick and natural response, especially when cornering.
